Youth Ministry

Students in grades 7th through high school have many areas to grow in their faith at St. Jude the Apostle/St. Mary Gate of Heaven through catechesis, service and social opportunities which help promote Catholic identity and foster personal and spiritual growth. Many of our youth are very involved in the various ministries our Parish has to offer along with service opportunities within our community. Each month we try to provide a service opportunity for our youth such as preparing Thanksgiving Baskets for the needy in our community, hosting the Relay for Life Pasta Dinner, a spring fundraiser and of course leading our Vacation Bible School.

“What is needed today is a church which knows how to respond to the expectations of youing people. Jesus wants to enter into dialogue with them and, through his body, which is the church, to propose the possibility of choice, which will require a commitment of their lives.” (Pope John Paul II, World Youth Day 1995, Philippines)
