For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me. -- Matthew 25:35

Every week, All Saints’ Food Pantry helps to feed more than 100 hungry families, provides as many as 10 emergency food boxes, and helps to stock the shelves of five local food pantries. That’s a lot of food! Please consider purchasing nonperishable items when shopping.

Parish Social Justice and Outreach Ministry

Mission Statement

The mission of Parish Social Ministry is to assist the parish of All Saints Catholic Church in accomplishing the spiritual and social mission of the Catholic Church.  In its roles of servant, advocate, facilitator and convener, parish Social Ministry acts in the parish and community-at-large to heighten awareness of social justice issues through communication and education, to identify unmet needs, and to promote solutions to meet those needs.

Parish Social Ministry serves as an umbrella resource for parish ministries/organizations who advocate for social and economic justice as well as those addressing immediate and emergency needs.

Prison Ministry

A ministerial effort to provide spiritual and sacramental support to Catholics incarcerated in local jails or state/federal prisons in southeastern North Carolina. Involvement in this ministry can include prayer support, financial support, and volunteer support to visit or participate in weekly Catholic services at local facilities.  It may also include participation in Kairos, an ecumenical Cursillo based program. For information on prison ministry efforts within the Cape Fear Deanery or for information on Kairos, contact Will Evans at 910-328-4663.

Catholic Advocacy

Works to encourage parishioners to register with https://catholicvoicenc.org/    The nonpartisan voice of North Carolina’s Bishops.  This website operates under the authority of the state’s two Catholic Bishops to keep Catholics apprised of legislative matters before the General Assembly and Congress.  It provides contact information for elected officials to ensure that a Catholic viewpoint is taken into consideration.  For more information see also:  http://Catholicvote.org/
