The Community Holiday Assistance Program of Eastern Pender County offers hope and encouragement to struggling neighbors by providing Thanksgiving meals and, at Christmas, toys and grocery gift cards. Your gifts of time, gift cards, funds, and toys (for ages infant to 17) are an incredible support to struggling families in the Eastern Pender County area!
IN 2023: As of this December 13, we have 432 applications representing 717 children! Your support of CHAP will have tremendous reach. .
In 2022, 325 families received holiday hope and help at Thanksgiving and Christmas! That’s more than 572 children with full bellies and heartwarming gifts, thanks to CHAP.
In 2021, 298 families were served.
APPLY at E. Pender County school guidance offices, Share the Table, or 4Cs; by Nov.6 for Thanksgiving and by Dec.4 for Christmas.
For Thanksgiving, every applicant household receives a voucher to pick up a turkey and side-dish ingredients from Harris Teeter. (details to come)
For Christmas, each family receives a grocery gift card, and they choose no-cost children’s gifts at our “Holiday Shop.”

With 717 children being served, every donation of TOYS for ages infant to 18 makes a difference!

Thanksgiving Distribution: Saturday, November 18, at 9AM - 3:30PM at Blake's Chapel (Recipients, please arrive at scheduled appointment time.)
Christmas Distribution: Saturday, December 16 at 10AM-4PM at Blake's Chapel (Recipients, please arrive at scheduled appointment time.)
